1. Your Right to Delete Data
At QuickClip, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. All users, regardless of how they signed up (email/password, Google, Facebook, or any other method), can request deletion of their data at any time.
2. How to Delete Your Account and Data
You have several options to delete your account and all associated data:
- Through the App: If you are signed in, you can delete your account directly from the Settings page. This will permanently delete all your data including:
- Your user account and profile information
- All clipboard items and synced content
- All uploaded images and files
- Your device registrations
- Your subscription and payment information
- All settings and preferences
- Via Contact Form: If you cannot access your account, you can request data deletion by contacting us through our contact page. Please include your email address or user ID so we can identify your account.
3. What Happens When You Delete Your Data
When you request data deletion:
- Your account will be permanently deleted from our system
- All your personal data, including clipboard items and settings, will be permanently removed from our database
- We attempt to delete all uploaded images and files from our storage system
- Important: While we make every effort to delete images and files immediately, there may be cases where files remain in our object storage system even after the database reference is removed. This can occur due to storage system limitations or technical issues. We periodically clean up orphaned files, but we cannot guarantee instant physical deletion of all files.
- Your subscription will be cancelled (if applicable)
- You will no longer be able to access your account or any synced data
- This action cannot be undone
4. Data Deletion Timeline
Account deletion requests are processed immediately when initiated through the app. For requests submitted via our contact form, we will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion via email.
5. OAuth Provider Data
If you signed in using a third-party provider (such as Google or Facebook), we may have access to the following information from that provider:
- Your provider user ID (e.g., Google ID, Facebook ID)
- Your email address (if provided by the provider)
- Your name (if provided by the provider)
- Your profile picture (if provided by the provider)
All of this information is deleted when you delete your QuickClip account. We do not store or use any third-party provider data beyond what is necessary for authentication and account creation.
